Forestry South Africa: Submission to the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform on the Restitution of Land Rights Amendment Bill

FSA recognises the fact that, as alluded to in the Explanatory Memorandum, there are, for a number of reasons, potential beneficiaries who were either precluded from lodging land claims or who could not do so by the cut-off date of 31st December 1998. In the interests of social justice, Forestry South Africa (FSA) supports the principle of allowing these affected parties, under the provisions of the current Constitution, an opportunity to lodge legitimate land claims.

The Guide: How to Lodge a Land Claim

The Commission on Restitution of Land Rights is committed to assist all those who qualify for restitution of land rights, in line with the provisions of the Constitution of South Africa. Lodging a land claim is a free government service. You do not have to pay any amount of money to lodge a land claim.
