Traditional leaders call for suspension of Land Act

Traditional leaders have called on Rural Development and Land Reform Minister Gugile Nkwinti to suspend the implementation of the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act. 

The legislation came into effect yesterday after it was signed into law in 2013. 

The Act allows municipalities to establish a tribunal to decide on applications for land use and development.
