Eight youths get R15m farm

The department of rural development and land reform has acquired a R15.5m farm for young agriculture graduates in the Capricorn district in Limpopo. 

The 826ha Waldburg farm, located in the Molemole local municipality, was purchased by the department with the purpose of supporting the graduates as part of the Proactive Land Acquisition Strategy (PLAS). 

The eight youth who will be beneficiaries have various agriculture qualifications with three of them having degrees, four national diplomas and one a certificate. 

They are on a two-year learnership programme with the municipality.
