Firm rolls in SA wind bids

Law firm Simmons and Simmons has been appointed as counsel to manage finance deals for two wind farms with 250MW combined capacity in South Africa. 

Mainstream Renewable Power is developer of both the 140MW Kangnas and the 110MW Perdekraal East wind farms. 

Simmons and Simmons has advised lenders at various rounds in the government’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme and is now counsel for the Mainstream deals which are being arranged by Absa Bank.
