Restituted land ‘has produced tycoons’

PRODUCTIVITY has improved on restituted land, and the proof is that three black commercial farmers have become millionaires, says Rural Development and Land Reform Minister Gugile Nkwinti.

Mr Nkwinti told Parliament on Tuesday that in the 2011-12 financial year 95% of land handed over in restitution was unproductive. This had improved and 27% of the land was now productive.
